and guying. This article should answer a lot of your questions.
Rohn recommends for their towers that the ground anchor point for the
highest guy wire on the tower be located no less than 80% of the height of
the tower from the base (an angle of ~38.6 degrees with respect to the
ground). So a 50 ft. high tower would have its anchor points located 40 ft.
from its base. Of course, the lower guy lines will be at shallower angles
than the uppermost guys. You could use a longer baseline, but why use up
more real estate and pay for more guy wire than needed?

guy wires should be installed at. I would assume 45 degrees but have no
engineering reason for thinking such.
