I want to say thank you to Curtis (AD5UZ) for coming over this morning and helping to get my Alpha Delta DX-CC antenna backup. With his expertise in rebuilding the center conductor of the antenna is now even better than what the factory made. It is working fantastic. After the antenna got put back in the air, we tried all the bands with the automatic antenna tuner on mine new Kenwood ts-590s the SWR is great. Curtis went on 6 meters on the call frequency called out CQ and the person that came back to us was Bill W3XO/5 and he had a good signal report over to my QTH so Bill thank you very much for coming back on the CQ. It is great to be back on HF again. Now I got to learn what all this radio is capable of doing it is so much more advanced than my Kenwood ts-450s but it is going to be a lot of fun. Also weather wise he could not have been more perfect to do antenna work this is a rarity for me the weather the antenna going back up permanently could not have worked out so perfect. Also good news for me the HF and 2 meter, RF does not get into my new weather station so that's a big plus for me. Earlier I was on 20 meter and I heard New Hampshire QSO party calling CQ on frequency and he was about S-5 on my meter and I thought I'd just take a chance and went back to him and I was delightfully surprised he came back to me of course he gave me a 5x9. It's been a long time, and now I know that this antenna was not working properly far a lone time. So I feel I've got a brand-new old antenna. So again many thanks to Curtis with this patient's and lots of smiles and good fellowship it has been a long time. And again Bill many thanks and been my first contact on 6 meters. I've been off too long. Now this is where the fun is going to begin.
