All,
I have worked with 1/2" 316 stainless bolts for many years doing electrical
projects.
It does not hurt to lubricate the bolts, however, the real problem with
galling on stainless
bolts is caused by tighting the nuts beyond the specified limit and not lack
of lubrication.
