[HCARC] Al Taylor

HCARC members will be interested to know that Mr. Al is in the hospital, Peterson Regional Medical in Kerrville.  He has been having some problems with blood pressure.  They have discovered numerous blockages.  At this time, they are going to treat the situation with medication.  The doctor told Mr. Al he had the body of a 70 year old and the mind of someone 40 years old.  Today some of the student nurses visited with him because they were fascinated that he was 101 and a half.  He explained how he checked the approved rain gage each day and reported the results to the weather service.  He also explained how he tracks the water level of the river.  Sharon, Mr.Al’s daughter, said all of this time spent with the students really made his day.  Physical therapy will be started and he will probably be released Monday or Tuesday to return to Plaza on the River.

Hopefully he will be able to return to Wednesday morning at McDonald’s very soon.
