Be sure to measure the actual wire size. Some of it may just have thick
insulation and smaller wire. "Made in China?"

I just crimp mine, as long as the wire size is => 18 gauge. I've got a good
supply of 15 / 30 / 45 connectors to match up wire sizes. They all use the
same size housings.

If I use the 15 amp connector with less than 18 gauge wire, I'll solder the
connector instead. I've found that crimping such small gauge wire often
results in snapped / broken wires later. The wire won't hold up to the
strain.

I use mostly 12, 14, or 16 gauge wire. Some heavy jobs might require 10
gauge, but not often. 10 gauge wire generally requires the 45 amp connectors
by the way.

I recently bought a 500' spool of 14 gauge red/black zip wire (power wire)
on eBay for $49.99 w free shipping. Last year I bought, from same seller, a
500' spool of 12 gauge red/black zip wire for around $72 w free shipping.
Great quality & price. I think I'm set for enough wire for awhile, but I
was looking at a spool of 1000' of 16 gauge red/black zip wire that was
priced reasonably, but I know I'll never be likely to need that much 16
gauge.

Do crimp and solder, or just crimp your Anderson Power Pole lugs??
