2. Fwd: Inline Watt - Power meter (Lee Besing)

Message: 1 Date: Tue, 2 Jul This was designed to be an inline power
analyzer for radio controlled models, but it appears to be heavy duty
enough for most Ham Radio Applications. At $22.20 & free shipping, from
a USA based seller in Pennsylvania, its a deal!
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=380644150825 I have ordered
one of these devices already and it's already waiting in my mailbox at
The UPS Store. I just didn't have time to retrieve it today. I'm
thinking it would be useful to have something like this when operating
from Batteries, or even if you are concerned about the heavy duty status
of the wiring or fuses on your ham rig & extra emergency lights. I've
seen similar devices on PowerWerx, etc, priced twice as expensive as
this one was. Lee Besing, N5NTG 210-771-7075 ( voice/text)

Hello Lee,
I have one of those power analyzers, since I'm also an RC modeler.
They are available through most hobby shops that sell battery powered
models. Mine is called "Watts Up." :-) I use mine to see how much
current my motor/propeller installations draw from the battery. With
that info in mind and knowing the amp hour capacity of the battery, I
know how long I can fly the model before the battery is seriously
depleted. There are other uses. It's a handy device. Also, that's a
good price.
