In the relocation of my computer from the house to the Radio Shack, I have to make a computer network cable run from the house to my shack in the neighborhood of 225-250 feet. I am told and have located the supposedly newest cable to do this with which is now CAT6E cable. It is supposedly faster (whatever that means - I still am constrained by how fast my ISP gets me the signal) and surprisingly enough less than $10 more expensive for the total run than Cat 5E, which is still much less expnsive than two antennas to wirelessly transmit the signal which could then be received surrepticiously by others out at our street.
Anyway CAT 6E is available and I suppose someone is going to tell me that it has been around for several years, thus making me feel all the older and out of touch. Understand I am still running an old table top computer with Windows XP. Additional Older and out of touch comments are not needed - I know my shortcomings all too well.
