If anyone is using a Yaesu Ft-8X7 transceiver and would like to update the pre-programmed 60 meter channels to match the latest FCC changes, go to  http://www.danplanet.com/blog/2012/02/08/update-your-ft-817nd-with-the-new-60-meter-channel/. You will need to download the CHIRP software and connect your computer to the radio’s CAT port. Follow the instructions on this web site.  I did this to my FT-897 and it worked like a charm.

After the update, I found a coast to coast roundtable on the new freq.

I will have to find the time to pull the 857 from the truck and do it.
