[HCARC] EchoLink Set Up With Windstream DSL

Setting up EchoLink for the first time. Have downloaded and installed software on an XP platform. I have  authenticated call sign etc. Now am trying to resolve Port Forwarding issues. 
I have a Windstream Sagecom 4300 ADSL Modem connected to a Netgear WNDR 3400 Wireless router. The  Windstream modem is not currently bridged, which I believe is the first step before the Net Gear Router Port forwarding is set up, which I have instructions for, or I can purchase set up software. 
I have instructions on how to bridge the Windstream Sagecom Modem, but noticed when I was in the set up menu for the Windstream that there is the ability to set up  port forwarding also. At this  point I would greatly appreciate some direction.
