A friend who is an electrician is letting me look through his "JunK Pile" before he hauls it off to the dump/metal recycler. I came up with 4 aluminum Buss bars that you attach ground wires to in a Electrical Service box. If I connected the bars together ainto a big square could I use them and their 26 screw connections each for an inexpensive connecting system for ground plane wires for a vertical antenna. It seems a natural, but then when I find things like this there is usually a reason they don't work out.
when I am connecting wires for the ground place can I attach them to a large 4-5 inch long nail at the outer end and drive the nail into the ground to keep the wire in place?? I can cut a slit in the ground using my edger, but it would help to be able to keep the wire tight to keep it into the slit. I have large metal staples to help also.
