We conducted two 40 meter experimental nets on Sunday to see if we could cover our local area and to see if the noise level was less than the evening net we held earlier in the week. The 10 a.m. net had 8 attendees as shown below:
K5YB NCS
KC5RHF
WB2GEU
W1CPP
AE0S
KM4DR
KK5IA
K5KS
K5GIT (came on freq after net)
The afternoon net had 5 attendees as follow:
K5YB NCS
K5KS
W1CPP
KC5RHF
AE0S
QR
There was generally good communications between stations. Antennas consisted of verticals, dipoles, and long wires. Both times seemed to be reasonably free of QRN/QRM so either time would work for a 40 meter net.
I'll continue to run the Sunday morning net at 10 a.m. local on 7.275 and if someone would like to step up to run a Sunday afternoon net for those who have Sunday morning obligations just announce the time and frequency of the Reflector. 73
