AloneStarYank at aol.com:

I, the moderator did not censor the opinions and ideas of the member (you).
Rather, the moderator adhered to the rules and conditions of the reflector,
and provided explanations to the member, and did so off of the reflector so
as not to cast any criticism toward the member.

Here are the events:

In response to a reflector administration request, a message posted from the
member was directed to the moderator for attention. The message is provided
below as Message #1.

The key action specified in the administration request Message #1 is: " Too
many recipients to the message."

I forwarded this message to the member so he could see the reason the
message did not pass reflector protocol.

I then completed the administrative request and rejected the message through
the reflector administrative process. The email that was received by the
member which can also be found below is a result of the reflector software
completing my action. The key phrase in this automated message is "No
reason given".

Again, both of these actions were taken OFF of the reflector.

I have no vested interest in censoring opinions or ideas of member postings,
and if I did, I would post them on the reflector for all to see, or address
them directly to the member I was censoring.

I administer the reflector in the best interests of the HCARC membership,
and do so on my time. In doing so. I must also adhere to the rules and
conditions of the reflector software, which monitors for attachments, size,
number of recipients, etc.

Sir, your accusations are way off base. And I object to having to answer
your accusation, and having to do so in the open which is the way you have
decided to take on this matter.

Perhaps you should consider reinstating your HCARC membership, and then
assuming the duties of Reflector moderator, which you appear to believe you
can perform better than is being done now.
