Gary:
Google "Phillystran guy line" for all the information you'll ever want on how to terminate and anchor this type of guy line.
I had Phillstran guys on my tower in Atlanta. For safety reasons the lowest section of guys were 3/16" EHS galvanized guy wire. I used screw type earth anchors embedded 3+ feet in my clay soil in Georgia. Around here, you'll be lucky to go more than 12" before you hit rock.
I wouldn't trust T-posts for my guy anchors. I've pulled several from around my property and they are usually badly rusted below the soil line. Also, the tension on the anchors from a properly guyed tower is much higher than a T- post is designed for. There are specialty anchors made for embedding in a drilled hole in rock. Google "rock guy anchor" for examples.

I didn't ask him what he uses for the anchor/stake on the earth side of the guy line. Is there a particular type of stake, concrete block buried, screw stake like for tying up dogs, or what???

In fact, next week when the installation of the Gap Voyager antenna happens, I can bring both my drill with the big bit and with the 36 inch 3/4" bit to the party. I can also bring my metal but off circular saw to cut metal posts/tubing as desired.
