The date of the Canyon Lake Christmas Parade is incorrect on the website, it should be Saturday Dec 8th not the 11th.

ALSO

The Bandera 100K Ultra-Marathon will be held 12 Jan 2013 to 13 Jan 2013.  This is not a small local event, it is a part of the Montrail Ultra Cup Series and the USA 100Km Trail Championships.  You will be providing real time tracking and safety of the participants and crews.  The environment is similar to what an Emergency Communications Operator would experience during a disaster event.  Communications include UHF, VHF and packet.

This is a great learning experience for all you new Hams.  Bring your spouses, they can man the aid stations.  My wife and I provided support to this event last year, I had been a Tech less than two months at the time.  Contact me for further information.
