To All-

We want to say thanks to Bob Richie, K5YB, Jerry Migely, WA9KXZ and Alan Cone, K5AFC for stopping by and participating in the referenced contest. We had about 73 contacts and will know in several days how many confirmed DX QSLs we added to our present total of 24.

The internet service at the Red Cross Building was out of operation today so Bob Richie drove home to retrieve his wireless Verizon data connection so that we could locate stations on the Telnet band map.

In addition, we had a nice eye ball conversation with J.C., a Red Cross volunteer who expressed interest in the Technician Training Class but it conflicted with the Saturday Red Cross Schedule. J.C. was previously in the Coast Guard and is a CW enthusiast.

Bob and Jerry stepped it up a notch today by operating and logging via Harvey’s Mic/Footswitch cable assembly and a headphone/ mic setup. While this isn’t how Jerry normally operates, he’s been willing to help out the club with his operating skills.

Via his home station, Bob Richie has continued to hone his operating skills by operating in contests on his own in addition to joining in the club station operation. Hat’s off to Bob for pushing the envelop.

Alan is planning a station but wants to take his time before he makes a decision on the equipment and antenna system.

We appreciate everyone for their help.
