[HCARC] CQ WW WPX SSB Contest

To All-

  I’ll be at the club station in the Red Cross Building on Saturday, March 24th from around 10 am to 4-5pm operating in the referenced contest.  Most of the activities in this Phone contest will be directed at “search and pounce” DX stations primarily to pick up additional confirmed DX QSLs on LoTW.  We presently have 24 confirmed QSLs on LoTW towards a DXCC award.  This contest will also allow us a shot at getting Rhode Island or Maine to attain a mixed WAS award.  We’ll be utilizing N1MM for logging so this is an opportunity to practice logging for Field Day.

  Either licensed hams or non-hams are welcome to attend.  I plan to have the 2 meter radio on for the repeater @146.98 Mhz but one can also be called via my cell phone at 281-844-8897 for access.

  Harvey assembled a connector to handle a headset, headphones and a boom mic, along with a foot switch for the TS-570.  I plan to bring my headset and footswitch that will allow a person to practice speaking and logging on N1MM.
