To All-
Thanks to Jeff, N4YPT, for meeting with me today to check out computer networking for Field Day.
Here’s what I learned:
1. When setting up the computers one needs to make sure all of the computers are speaking to each other via the computer to computer network before launching N1MM.
2. Once N1MM is launched, all of the computers need to be sync’d with each other.
3. 10 and 15 meters were pretty much dead today. We need to have the best antennas we can put up in order to work the bands no matter what their condition.
Special thanks:
A. To Jeff, N4YPT, who chose to participate in spite of his back pain endured since Thursday.
B. To Charlie, AF5AO, who arrived to provide moral support.
C. To John, AC4CA, for calling to work us.
D. Harvey, K5HV, for delivering fuses to operate the antenna switch after my operator error. Later in the day Harvey worked us on RTTY.
