First, you should not have to disable Windows 7 firewall. Windows 7 firewall should automatically allow Echolink for inbound and outbound.  I think your problem is that you have not set up port forwarding for UDP ports 5198 and 5199 in your router.  Hopefully that will solve your problem.  I set my laptop up with Windows 7 doing the previously listed suggestions.  Just worked N5HR via Echolink with this configuration.

To All-

  I’ve followed the directions for Port Forwarding in my router and disabled my Windows 7 firewall.  I can connect to the TCP on Echolink via the test program but fail to connect through either port 5198 or 5199.  I ran the ipconfig command to determine my IP address prior to setting up the port forwarding.  Anyone have any configuration advice that will allow me to connect?
