It's great that you are doing this Gale!
I may get on for a little while on Saturday, so I'll listen up for you guys
at N5HR. Perhaps you should try to call CQ once in awhile.
GL in the Contest!

Subject: [HCARC] North American QSO Party Contest - SSB - This
comingSaturday January 21st - 1800Z (12 Noon Local)
To All-
I received commitments from several people that they will be joining me
sometime during the day on Saturday so we will be at the Red Cross Building
from 11:30 am until around 6 pm or later if there is an interest to stay.
You may come and go as you please but may need to call my cell phone,
281-844-8897, to gain access if the time is other than 11:30.
Before jumping into the contest I'll spend a few minutes discussing how to
download, update, configure and set up a log in the free N1MM contesting
software. After answering questions regarding N1MM I'll talk about the
contesting website I utilize, (SM3CER), to determine in which contest I may
want to participate. In addition, I'll highlight how to search the rules
for simple relevant information required to participate in a contest.
As mentioned previously, the intent is to provide a low stress environment
to allow everyone an opportunity to obtain hands on experience operating and
logging. These are the skills we can put to use on Field Day this coming
June. We plan to shift positions every 30 minutes but we may decide to
shorten the time period if we have a number of people present.
Thanks to all for your interest and see you on Saturday.
