[HCARC] Fw: Linearity - What Does It Mean

I asked the question because so many ads for equipment throw the term
"Linearity" around pretty liberally (and I hate all things Liberal) and most
buyers have little to no idea what they are talking about. I sometimes
wonder if the advertisers even know what they are talking about - or if they
do, they are using some dishonesty to try to appeal to the buyers. Knowing
what the terms mean is the first step to intelligent buying.
Somewhere, the ARRL should publish a book of Radio Terminology. It would
help people to speak accurately or help others to cut through the Bull.
