Subject: Volunteer at Disaster

Hi all,

Below is a link to a web site giving a very detailed report
of one volunteer, a ham operator, at the World Trade Center.

It makes anyone involved in communications think about what
would happen if you had to respond. Some questions it brought to my mind
were: Would I be as prepared as this one was? What if he had just brought
coax - he could have done his duty in filtered air! Is my "go kit" as
ready?

Anyway, I thought the story was interesting and you would
like it. You will need about 30 minutes available when you read the story
at: www.w2ik.info (a ham radio operator - but it as easily could have been a
uniformed CAP member or maybe even a member of an AF Comm Sq).

 Hope you enjoy, Ric
