[HCARC] Tech Corner Subjects in the Coming Months

To All -

  After a discussion with the Executive Committee members recently I’ve decided to present abbreviated Tech Corner sessions on computer based ham radio programs.  The purpose is to introduce members to various programs.  If members have specific interests to install and set up programs, I’d be glad to help in the mentoring process.

  Here’s a list of topics with each topic being a different monthly session.

1.  Downloading, installing and using the Ham Radio Deluxe logging program.  Rig control is optional.
2.  A review of Logbook of the World and how files may be transferred, authenticated and uploaded into LoTW from Ham Radio Deluxe.  Also, how to track awards in LoTW.
3.  How Digital Master 780 interfaces with Ham Radio Deluxe and its digital modes of operation such as BPSK-31, RTTY and CW to name a few.

  If there is an interest in contesting software we can discuss it during several sessions as well.

  For November I’ll plan on Item #1 relating to Ham Radio Deluxe.  Anyone presently utilizing this program is welcome to provide comments during the discussion as well.
