posting Marilyn's terrific email to the HCARC reflector.

Good Morning All,

 

There is absolutely not a perfect place to begin or end when it comes to
Field Day 2011.

 

Of course, the real beginning was when John H.,AC4CA, agreed to be the FD
chairperson.  His endless leadership created and produced a marvelous event.
His committee was an outstanding collection of gifted and dedicated souls
who never gave up and worked many hours.

 

It was also made a great success because of all those who stepped up to the
plate and "did the deal".  

 

The hospitality committee composed of Ruthie, Barb, and Ruby made sure we
were fed in royal fashion.  Of course, they are good at doing this all the
time.

 

Those folks who came especially to set up and take down were miracle workers
with their willingness to endure the heat and beating sun to load, unload,
bend, stretch, and be extremely creative with stringing wires  and
electrical connections.

 

There were many smiles, lots of laughing, and many a "pat on the back" .
Let's face it.........it was good, we were good, and it was just a down
right special time.  Good memories were made, lessons learned, and a great
time to be remembered.

 

Sooooo, if you were among the lucky ones who were there, pat yourself on the
back for a job well done.  If you missed the event for first one reason or
the other, please know you were missed.

 

Mr. Al, thanks for being YOU and sharing your years of ham radio experience
with us.

 

Thanks again to everyone for a wonderful event.
