[HBR] HBR 13C Sold at auction

Greetings Everyone
  Was talking to several about the
effect the HBR series has on people
and was thinking the fad or ‘cult’
aura about this series was about to
die out.
   But an on line auction just proved to
me the captivating series till has a hold
on these Hams with a quality taste : )
   I was bidding on an HBR 13C and
someone outbid me, and I thought my
bid was high : ) : )  The radio had an
EXCELLENT quality top notch build, and
the builder did such a good job on his
build, that you’d have thought he went 
down to the radio store and bought a
new manufactured rig.  Could hardly
believe the craftsmanship involved here : )
Someone got themselves an excellent
example of this series.
   Was it one of you guys on the list here?
I personally would like to hear from you on
your expectations, and realizations…   : )
Anyone else watch that auction?

PS  I would have gotten that radio, if the
XYL had not been watching and kibitzing. : )
