[HBR] 1650 kHz IF

For what it's worth, a couple of years ago I planned to build a simple
superhet for 80m/40m using a 1650 IF and several OMs on eham warned me that
BC breakthrough could be a problem.

The issue, as explained then, is that "back in the day" the AM band's upper
limit was lower but the upper limit is now 1611 (in North America). In ITU
Region 2 there is an Extended AM range going up to 1710 kHz -- incorporating
what used to be a Police band -- but that wouldn't affect North America.

Since I never built the radio, I have no actual experience of this issue.
