You mean the coil winder?  I built my own, from the book by David Gingery back when he was still alive and pick'n (his banjo).  It works pretty well.  Now that i have a few machine tools, it would be a kick to build one using gears rather than friction wheels...

Bought the book years ago,
have a few of the parts cut and
such, but put it away for a ‘rainy’
day project…

I know a little off topic, but anyone
else on board have one of these
and play with it???    Imagine all the 
obstacles that could be easily overcome
with a tool such as this : )
