Hello Lorne,

~ Hi Brian, if you are looking for a great performing regen, may I recommend
this:-

Thanks for the suggestion! I've looked at that one admiringly in the past
(:->)...It's handsomely built, and very well documented.

Have you used it much on the air? Having done my ham operating with
receivers that were as broad as a barn door, I have become something of a
selectivity nut. I would be very interested to hear how it performs under
crowded band conditions.

I like CW a lot, but am also planning to get on AM. Have you had any
experience with it in that mode?

~ Undoubtedly there are other great designs, but this is one that has worked
well for me.
I have built two and have been more than satisfied with the results. I did
not use the DC filament feature as I did not have a 9.5 volt tranny.
The key is mechanical integrity. Build it as though it were to be used on a
battleship!

HBR doesn't allow attachments, so I'm sending to your email an article you
may not have seen, on National's development of the SW series, including the
SW-3. It's remarkable how important the mechanical details are.

By the way, how did you come to build two of them?

Cheers,

Brian
