Hello Stan and Martin,

Thanks for the quick response guys!

~ QST had a two-color printing process fairly early on, allowing use of
"spot"
red inside the book. This was common "back in the day" when the full-color
(four-color cmyk process) was very expensive, so publishers made judicious
use of a single extra color and even, shades of that color (so you could
have not just red, but shades such as pink).

~ Regards,

~ Martin

Well, dog my cats! I remember the cover ads having spot color, but I really
don't remember any color in the interior. Ya learn something every day
(:->)...

So is there a color copy of that schematic posted anywhere? I've been all
over the "Site" looking for it.

Cheers,

Brian

I can make absolutely sure when I get home, but I remember being surprised
at the circuit portions being in red when looking through that QST issue
after a friend gave me a copy.

Regards,
Stan
