Subject: [HBR] Remote receiver muting circuit?
Hello fellow HBR enthusiasts!
I have started using my HBR in
conjunction with my circa 1965 SSB sweep tube
transmitter to make
QSO's.
Id like to incorporate a T/R sequencer so I don't have
to do the "switch the antenna,
flip the receiver mute switch,
hit the transmit key" routine. (I am shorting the antenna
input to the HBR as well.)
Has anyone any idea how I can
incorporate a remote receiver mute scheme for the HBR-11?
I
don't know if routing any signal leads or power leads out of the receiver
is a good idea.
Maybe installing a small DIP relay inside the HBR and
routing the coil connections out of the HBR?
And, I hate to
ruin the vintage look of the vintage internal components :-(
Any ideas are greatly appreciated .. Or perhaps this topic has been
addressed somewhere?
