[HBR] Advice on Miller 1730 transformers

Hi Bill and Gerald,

thank you both very much for profound suggestions to help with my 
slugs ! Level 1 : heat; Level 2: hand-drill softly and replace 
(both suggestions ended up in my 'reconstruction log book 'for 
further references).

So far, Level 1 has helped to release a reluctant slug.

On checking further, I found a wobbly (?) 1730 (T1B in the 
HB*-13C). After removing the can, I found a broken coil form - 
electrically ok, but physically spoiled. I will try to stabilize 
and then tune this filter precisely to the 1600 kHz IF (having a 
1700 kHz quartz), so that I dont have to touch it any more. By the 
way: the second filter (T1A) 1730 is of different construction 
inside, so I got two versions.

I will keep you informed  !
