Great buy Chris. I think its worth finishing a little at a time. I'd
start by tracing out the schematic.

The web address in parentheses below worked for me.

The links to the pictures caused the pictures to appear but then it took a
while
figure out how to get back without getting clear out of the Ordinary
Modulation web site.

I found that I could click the link near the top right under Recent Posts,
"More on unfinished receiver,"
to get back to the home page to look at more pictures.

Thanks for the very helpful comments.

I collected some of the information and pictures about this
receiver and put them on my blog page (http://w0ep.us/OM/?p=2244).
It links to a discussion at eham.net also, but I copied most of the eham
text over to the blog.

It is double-conversion. The first IF is 1415 kHz and the second
is 85 kHz.

As far as I can tell the original builder only got 40 80 and maybe
20 going.

I'm not too convinced I want to try to finish their work but it
might make a good parts supply for something else. And that
is kind of where I'm at with the HBR idea.

Chris
