AND a nicer cut AND faster than you can get with a nibbler.
Another way to do it is with a Dremel and cut off wheels. Experiment on a
scrap first as there are a few tricks to this technique but once you get it
down you'll find you do it often because there's no distortion of the metal.
There's also the drill-holes-all-along-the-sides method. That one is good
when you have a large hole in relatively heavy material and particularly so
if you have a drill press. Much faster than sawing or Dremeling and
although you have quite a bit of filing to do, it yields a perfect result if
you are patient. That's how I made the Eddystone 898 panel cut out for
that receiver.
I have a nibbler but I haven't used it for years.
