The radio you speak of was the Clegg Venus - it was a 6m SSB transciever (I had one). Frankly, if it's a basket case, I can see the destruction, but otherwise, anybody who'd destroy a Venus for an HBR should be shot. Use a National ACN - it's much more "retro". That's what my HBR-11 has Tom - W0EAJ
