Thanks Tom for the advice.  I'm pretty much decided on the HBR-11/12.  I get the impression that the 11 is every bit a good a performer, if not better, than the 16.  I'm thinking that I'll do the HBR-12 using either a Millen slide rule dial that is coming or an HRO dial and NPW drive that is also coming.  Think I'll save the Eddystone sliderule for an HBR-13 after I get some experience under my belt.   Thanks.  73, Scott WA9WFA

Lee's right.  My HBR-11 (circa 1964) works great, has the right look, and 
delivers "readable" CW at .045 microvolt on 80m.  Build one of these - 
you'll love it.
