Hi Breck,

Here's what the circuit looks like in the Command Set receivers:
  - triode plate to pin 1 (top end of tuned winding)
  - triode grid (through C/grid leak) to pin 2 (top end of untuned winding)
  - decoupled B+ to pin 3 (lower end of tuned winding)
  - can to ground (there are three internal connections to ground)

There are schematics on line, just happened to have the CQ Command Sets
book to hand.
