Really nice. I am sectionally constructing ala the HBR-16, but having some issues about the 1700 KHz crystal on the 2nd oscillator - I lost/misplaced a $35 1710 KHz crystal and only have a 1785 to use in its place. I am going to consider making the first IF at 1700 KHz and using the 85 KHz IFTs as you have done. Right now I have a Millen 1600 KHz IF in the circuit. Another incarnation will be to use the crystal filter in the Air Force Colonel's QST receiver that Walt mentioned recently. I am constructed all the way to the start of the 100 KHz IFT string on the HBR-16 schematic with an already constructed and working audio section. The BFO will be next per your discussion.
