One of the reasons this list and this area of ham radio are of such great
interest.
One thing I've wondered about: Has anyone written about W6TC himself? He
not only had a remarkable vision, he had the talent and energy to carry it
to success. I don't think it's too much to say that if he had been a top
player at any of the major U.S. ham equipment companies in the 50's-60's,
the history of our hobby might have been different.
What about, for example, Heathkit?
The best ham radios that could have been, were never built. The W6TC HBRs
were among the farthest flags up the mountain of what WAS done.
What is known about the man himself?
