[HBR] Tuning Cap question???

Greetings Earthlings
found a cap that has three sections, and while I have not measured
it, because of pencil marking saying 140 on it, believe it to be 140
pf. While I can make it work VIA removing plates, or cap in series,
the plates are pretty close together. Which brings me to the next
question in my series of queries. What kind of voltages will this
circuit generate? I ask this because the thing might have come from
a solid state goodie where the voltages might have been quite
reduced. I'm thinking of putting it in series with a 110 volt lamp
and putting 110 on it and rotating it through it's range, but that
might be only half the test I should do. What's the next step in
eliminating or proving this guy will do the job requested of it???
Thanks for your time guys
