Hi Tom,
Believe it or not, there's a bit of mechanical gymnastics required in order
to properly fit that Eddystone dial into a receiver...!
There's very little wrong with using a good quality National Radio dial---or
even a James Millen (large one), if you can find one...and best of all, BOTH
of these two alternatives a re a LOT cheaper to buy than an Eddystone...!

suggestions as to what the next best or third or fourth choice would be? I
think I've settled on the HBR8. Would one of the HBRs with single use tubes
be easier and less cluttered for a "semi experienced" person like me?

using solid state. In anyone's opinion, what HBR would be the best for me to
build? I have lots of tubes and some parts. I'm a product of the 60"s and I
enjoy the older stuff more then the new. Kind of anxious to get started just
want to know the best to to go. I understand some of these HBR's are spread
out on a more open chassis. That's what I need. Don't see as well as I used
to and fingers don't move as well either.
