W6HHT has sent me a few copies of his "Recollections of a Radio
Receiver" to take to Dayton in case anyone wants one there.
They will be available at the Radioware booth in the arena next
to MFJ.
For those that aren't familiar with this collection, more information
can be found at _www.w6hht.com_ (http://www.w6hht.com) . Essentially, it
is a collection of
information and anecdotes about the development of the HBR
series of homebrew receivers by W6TC. There are a lot of notes
that will help a home builder even if it isn't an HBR they are
building. I have printed out the entire e-book into three coil bound
volumes which I find easier to read than computer pages. The
entire book is in PDF making it easy to find topics.
This e-book has been produced by Jay, W6HHT. Lee, WB6SSW,
has been instrumental in burning the CD's which are in a nice
jacket. My involvement was to read through the original material
and make a few suggestions. Many others also provided material.
This isn't a commercial enterprise by any means. It is hams
sharing with other hams.
The e-book is an exceptional value at $10 and really complements
a lot of the material that Kees provides on his website. Both are
excellent resources for those of us who enjoy vacuum tube
technology.
Even if you already have the e-book, stop by the Radioware
booth to say "Hi".
