Greetings and Salutations HBR People
Jut found out our local sheet metal shop is closing it's doors
this next week. I bought two sheets of 16 gage one for the chassis
and one for the front panel. They did not have the aluminum that I
wanted, so I settled for Galvanized. I am having second thoughts
about this, as far as the metal differences will go later in the
project, galvanized against aluminum, with stainless steel and the
bottom line I guess is my question about the metal differences. 16
gage seems to be pretty heavy, and I don't think we'll have too much
wiggle wobble, but wanted opinions about the type and thickness. I
literally have a lot more metal laying around here then I need, but
the gage is wrong. From lots of old microwave and VCR cabinets. I
wanted something heavier then that cabinetry
Bottom line guys and gals is am I going to have any electrolysis
or diode effects with the dissimilar metals??? Can I use a cure all
like a paste of sorts???
Thanks in advance
Bill
