You would do yourself a complete favor by getting Jay Helm's (W6HHT) book
"Recollections of a Radio Receiver CD" before you even start on the
project.  I'm surprised at how little nuances and hints and kinks actually
help out in the performance of the receiver, ESPECIALLY ON THE VAUNTED HBR
COILS!!!!  For a measly 10 bucks, your payback will be in spades.  No, I'm
not a salesman but a satisfied customer who thinks this is one of the few
things in life where money is definitely well spent!
