Hi Windy tnx for posting the pictures.

To respond to John's question about performance, I did not do any actual measurements but simply put the unit next to my 75A4 and did some comparison and seems like any thing I can copy on the "A4" was right there on the HBR.

I have a 6mc AM filter in my A4 which is very close to the Am selectivity on the HBR.

Selectivity was comparable on SSB also by pulling up the Micarda rods on the 85KHZ if cans.

IF selectivity is right around 3KHZ. What would we do without the old BC453?

It's quite suprising just how well the HBR actually works, quite a tribute to Ted Crosby.

The tuning rate is good also, used a modified Millen 10035 dial with a Jackson Bros reduction tacked on to it.

Added a kilocycle dial to the Millen unit which Allows me to obtain a 1KHZ readout.

Between both the Millen dial reduction and the Jackson Bros drive it delivers an 84:1 total reduction.
Tunes pretty smooth!

This all started because last year  I retired and at the same time came into a copy of "The Radio Handbook", then it was off to the races.

All that "junk" that's been gathering dust in the old box for the last 40 years just had to be fashioned into something.

Can't let that 17th edition rest, it's on to the 200 Watt 3 Band Side Band Tranciever.
Anyone have a Mcoy 9Mhz Filter?

Tony
