[HBR] Change of IF frequency?

I run my HBR-14 on 1705 Kcs and have had no problems other than some reduced

Sensitivity at the low end of 160 meters. Had to move up to 1705 due to
local broadcast
Station on 1600.

1610 Kcs is a very bad choice for a 1st IF anywhere..

Subject: [HBR] Change of IF frequency?

Hello to all:
I have a concern regarding the IF frequency of the HBR as shown in the BIll
Orr, W6SAI handbook: the current 1st IF frequency is at 1610 kcs, just near
The edge of the AM broadcast band. I am interested in changing it to 1700
Kcs to avoid interference. Are there any special caveats I should note when
I do this other than changing the usual accompanying oscillators to
Accomodate the change? Thanks. Cal, N6KYR/4
