[HBR] HBR-8

Has anyone built the HBR-8?  I am tempted because of its compact design.  I
was ramping up to build the 1953 ARRL Handbook 4 tube receiver until I did a
closer inspection of the 'abbreviated version' of the HBR series of
receivers.  I have a butchered/junked up AT-1 cabinet that houses a small
aluminum chassis quite handily as well as a Bud 10:1 dial and a set of 1700
kcs transformers and 175 kcs transformers waiting to be modified.  It
appears I can stuff all of these units into the cabinet if I left out the
power supply and stuck tht into a separate cabinet/speaker combo.  This
allows me to teeth on building a smaller footprint HBR in preparation for
building one of the more sophisticated HBRs.  Any caveats, suggestions, or
otherwise is welcomed!
