Hello to all:
While looking for that 1600 kcs IF transformer for the HBR, I stepped across
these:
http://www.surplussales.com/Inductors/Ind-SmAdjRF/Ind-SmAdjRF-1.html
In particular on that page, an interstage transformer, 1.9-2.0 Mhz unit
described as:
(TI) 255549-505
1.9-2.0 MHz. Primary: 264 - 268 µH, 125 turns. Secondary: 235 - 378 µH, 172
turns. Two terminals top, 4 bottom. 7/8" diameter x 1-15/16" high. NSN:
5950-221-4641.
I figured I can possibly pad down this item to meet the 1600 kcs if
frequency required for the HBR, especially for the money that traditionally
expen$ive $urplu$ $ale$ usualy asks for their stuff. A friend of mine seems
to think this may be a bandpass unit but I'm not so sure. For $7 per, it
seems like a good deal, considering the source for this frequecy of IF
transformers are not easily had today without some extensive modification
Anyone care to comment about this transformer? Thanks. Cal.
