Ron, the article by Ted Crosby is in the April 64 issue of QST p 35. It is
entitled "The HBR 11 to date" I may be able to have this scanned and saved
in which case I can forward you a copy.
Nick, on the HBR 13 the L3 is closer to the front panel with the osc tube
immediately to the right of the sheild(looking from the front) and in behind
L3. If your chassis is already punched, then I am afraid you are forced to
build the HBR11 unless you want to cover unused holes(ugh!). I am faced with
a similar situation. I hope to move the osc tube top chassis, I am just
trying to determine the most cosmetically appealing way of doing it.
BTW Ted makes the claim that the HBR 11/12 will hold its own against the
HBR16
