[HBR] HBR16 memories

A great big "thank you" to John Dilks for his article in QST this month on
the HBR16.  I was licensed in 1958 at the age of 13 and I remember building
and operating the HBR16 when I was 16.  It was a wonderful project and it
actually worked!  Although the correspondence is long lost, I remember
getting several letters from Ted Crosby helping me through the project -
especially those COILS.  I have no memory of whatever happened to my HBR16
but I sure would give a lot of money to know where that Eddystone dial went.
It was a beauty.
Thanks again for a nice trip down memory lane.  Who knows, maybe when I
retire in a few months (years?) I will build it again and come full circle.
