Thanks for the reply Kees. Since the site is down, do you have any suggestions for a circuit to use for a bfo injection oscillator and the parameters for winding the coil, say a hartley, and at what point the tap comes off. I have heard that the hartley generates lots of harmonics. Would a colpitts be a better choice, I found a .455 khz colpitts that was used for the injection to a balanced SSB modulator in Orr,s handbook. I forgot, all of this pertains to an HBR receiver and making a BFO for a product detector. If you don't have time to respond, I understand, most us have little time for our selves. Perhaps you have some e-mail address,s of some of the more active and current HBR builders. I'm trying to get started on my first one. I have many pertinent parts for building just about anything, including the infamous Eddystone dial. When they get the site up, I need to figure out how to make postings to it, so I can get some help from the hams that have been there and done it, so to speak. Thanks agn Regards John Marshall
