[HBR] dial, etc.

I have always thought that should I get time to build a HBR receiver, I
would start with a hallicrafters SX-101-a or some variant, and go from
there. You can find those in all conditions at hamfests, some I have
purchased for as little as $50.! Some really nice ones for $100 and up,
I have 6-7 and cannot get enough.
That being said, I have a transistorized HBR with an eddystone dial. The
radio has some nice filters and is one of the fist pll radios out, there
is a button to lock the loop. I has a 2m-440 converter with it and the
builder used it for satellite work. I would sell all of it for $300. and
I think it would make a nice set up even in todays world. It was built
in the early 1970's, I have no documentation on it though.
Thanks, George W5GRg, AFA6GG
